7th Grade: Helpful Creations
Imagine: Assignment was to turn an everyday object to have special powers that relate to a god or goddess in greek mythology. This student created a shoe from Hephateus (Fire) that when you stomp it, fire will appear to help as light, a weapon, or to provide warmth. Pretty creative....
6th: Tesselations Artist: M.C. Escher
Tesselations are considered mathmatical art. It takes a long time to create and alot of creativity to turn it into a work of art. Here is a finished product. Good Job!
7th Grade: The 12 Tasks of Hercules
These students each chose one of the twelve tasks of Hercules to study, create, and perform in front of the class.

Greeks Myths
Greek Mythology: It was fun to recreate the Greek Afterlilfe. The student had their choice of Elysian Fields, Asphodel Fields, or Tartarus. I am amazed at their creativity!!

This week we learned about Hokusai, a Japanese watercolor painter. Along with painting we took notes on Japan, explored origami, and wrote some Japanese poetry (Haiku)
