7th grade Brainteaser WINNERS! It was a tough one....

Brainteaser:  Who can come up with the highest value word using only 6 letters?  Each letter is worth points such as A=1 B=2 C=3 D=4  and so on.....These students are the winners from our last brainteaser.

The winning word was TWISTY  which equaled 116 points submitted by Emily and Caleb from Wednesdays class.

6th Grade: Mexican Art: Diego Riveria

 
Students learned about Mexican artist Diego Riveria through the use of pastels and Mexican traditions, spanish language bingo, Mexican hat dancing and cooking buenelos.

7th grade: The 12 tasks of Hercules

Assignment:  Each student picks a task out of the 12 tasks of Hercules to learn about.  Then they design masks, skits, or props to teach the class about one of Hercules tasks.

Brass Birds

The fire-breathing bull and the capturing of Cerberus.

The capturing of the Diomedes Horses.  

6th grade: Picasso

How many shades of blue can you make using only black and white?  That's what 6th graders found out during their Picasso lesson of his Blue Period.  (some students used another color other than blue, but still the same concept)
