6th grade Watercolor: Japanese artist: Hokasai

6th grade learned about Japanese culture and experienced some origami and Haku (Japanese poetry). We learned about the artist, Hokasai and his watercolor technique and then tried some of our own.

7th graders portray the Greek Afterlife

It was all fun and games learning about the myths of Greek Afterlife.  The students definitely had a chance to show their creativity for this project! 
 
 












 

So Far...So Good!

6th grade Art Appreciation started with Tesselations from Holland.  We studied M.C. Escher and his mathematical art of Tesselations.  Here are a few finished and almost finished products:
