7th Grade: Begins TItanic Unit

We first began learning about the building of the Titanic.  As a warm up brainteaser we worked in groups to see who could build the tallest free standing structure in the allotted time of 15 minutes.  Here are some pictures of us hard at work:

The winning tower was 30 inches!! How did they do that? Future architects!!












6th grade: Shares Multiplication Game Masterpieces!

Assignment:  Make a unique multiplication game for kids to have fun and enjoy learning at the same time.  This was an art project that required some additional thinking.  After we made our games we visited Fairfax 3rd graders to test the games out. Check out the great experience we had:

7th Grade Greek Fest 2014

7th graders celebrated the end of our unit on Greek Mythology with a Greek Fest.  We tasted Greek food, dressed Greek, and took part in some Greek games.
